Silver River - January, 2008 Welcome!
Wilderness Trekkers is a not-for-profit organization based in the Central Florida area with 250+ members.  We are dedicated to the education and promotion of the responsible recreational use and enjoyment of the outdoors.  One of the ways we help achieve this is by bringing together people with the same outdoor interests through activities, seminars, and educational events organized by our volunteer Event Hosts.

Start Thinking Annual Gathering

Apart from organizing events during the entire calendar year, the Wilderness Trekkers has a tradition of creating a weekend event to bring the entire membership together, in a camping and pavillion forum, that includes scheduled events for the main disciplines of Hiking, Paddling and Cycling.  Additionally, there is the Friday night cover-dish dinner, some of the meals are provided Saturday through Sunday as part of the event fee, and feature presentations are organized .  This special event is referred to as the  Annual Gathering and is to be held at Silver River State Park, near Ocala.  Click the link for more details.  Although still in its planning stages, obtaining your reservation should not be delayed as the park will fill up.
